As a platform, it adopts a multi-stakeholder approach by coordinating with players from academia, business and industry, international organizations, think tanks and NGOs. in this regard, EU Business School has partnered with Alliance4Impact to further boost its research credentials in the area.

Alliance4Impact

Alliance4Impact (A4I) helps to build a world in which people are better able to avoid, mitigate, prepare for, and respond to humanitarian crises.

Resilient societies provide a stable and secure environment for people and businesses to flourish. It is the A4I conviction that this can only be achieved effectively and sustainably if those who are directly affected can work together to control decisions and actions that affect them.

A4I therefore focuses on helping stakeholders from different sectors of society collaborate in alliance to achieve a sustainable and self-sufficient society by delivering tangible impact.

Through this partnership, EU Business School and Alliance4Impact will engage in the following collaborative activities:

  • Identify topics of mutual interest and jointly cooperate and co-host workshops and events for the proliferation of knowledge in the wider community;
  • Identify topics of mutual interest for joint publication of opinion pieces, white papers and policy briefs that will investigate various partnership issues;
  • Jointly collaborate on research projects. Post graduate students at EU Business School could potentially undertake some of the research work as part of their dissertation process;
  • EU Business School will review, assess and provide recommendations on the Impact17 Partnership Evaluation criteria compiled from OECD criteria and other relevant sources. The criteria will be used to assess the quality of existing partnerships and partners, especially businesses designed to achieve Sustainable Development Goals;
  • Identify potential partners for engagement, particularly between the private sector and humanitarian organizations;
  • Jointly explore the potential of co-designing an online introductory course aimed at individuals and businesses seeking to contribute to the SDGs and humanitarian resilience.

In this regard, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the parties on 15 November 2019.
